Daytona motorcycle event gowing in size
This year's biggest motorcycle event was the largest in years! Bike Week in Daytona Beach, Florida exceeded any previous year in all the numbers. This leads us to believe that Biketober will also be a record breaker for the 2006 motorcycle event season. Scheduled for late October, this rally has always been popular because it has less crowds than the March Daytona Motorcycle rally. With all of the Volusia county hotels back up and running after two big seasons of hurricanes that hit the Central Florida area and the addition of Destination Daytona in Ormond Beach, Biketober will be bigger than ever. Last year, Biketober was threatened by a lingering hurricane off the Gulf Coast that made many Daytona visitors pack it in early. Biketober is also noted for it's custom motorcycle shows like the famous Rats Hole that brings many of the well known chopper builders in to town. It has also been noted as the place to be discovered for a up and coming custom bike builder. Many point to the fact that the now famous Orange County Choppers were discovered showing off their chopper "true blue" back in 1999. Biketober.com has also become very popular in the past year, with on line news , information and photos from the event.
